U13s UNITED AWARDED GRANT FROM SCOTMID COOP

Our U13 United team recently secured a Community Grant from Scotmid Coop to enable the team to purchase equipment items that would continue to support the girls as they prepare to move up to the north region U13 league.

‘The team were delighted to be awarded the community grant which they have used to purchase team equipment.  The training equipment ensures the girls are benefiting fully from the health and well-being team football provides.

The fund has positively impacted the girls return to training, providing quality mobile goals that allow the team to train at various outdoor locations whilst restrictions of sports venues are in place.

The girls were able to use the recently purchased bow net goals at their most recent training session, the smiles and laughter during the session were an indication of the positive impact team football has for the emotional, physical and mental well being of all the girls.’

Team Support Ruth Duffus Said “I applied for the fund to buy equipment (goals etc) on the basis that the AFCL United13 team is providing football opportunities to a number of girls in the local community.

The Club would like to pass our thanks onto Scotmid Coop for the award of the grant and your support of the local community as a whole.
