Local pro-golfer Paul and his Foundation, have generously covered the players’ fees for the forthcoming 2015 season.
Manager Allan Smith commented, “It is fantastic for the club to attract a high profile sponsor such as Paul. The sponsorship will go a long way to maintaining the high levels of professionalism we set at the club, and we cannot thank him enough for his support.
Our current club structure operates on the basis of each player paying monthly fees, this is something I have personally worked hard to eradicate from the Premier squad, given the level of commitment required to compete at the highest level in the country.
After meeting with Paul, I was thrilled he shared my same enthusiasm and vision for the squad going forward.”
Paul has an exciting year ahead with the inaugural Saltire Energy Paul Lawrie Match Play event taking place at Murcar Links Golf Club from 30 July-2 August, 2015.
The event is set to be a huge hit in the North East and will showcase many of the European Tour’s top golfers.
The former Open Championship winner added, “I am extremely impressed with the level of commitment shown by all of the players and coaches at Aberdeen FC Ladies.
The women’s game is one of the fastest growing sports in the world, and we are delighted to support our local team through the Paul Lawrie Foundation.
