Aberdeen FC Ladies U15 City travelled to Stonehaven on a wet and windy day for their latest friendly encounter.
Aberdeen started the match slowly and allowed Stonehaven to get on top of things. Stonehaven opened the scoring with an excellent strike which unsettled Aberdeen and two more Stonehaven goals quickly followed.
Aberdeen pulled a goal back through Anderson but soon conceded again to go in behind at the break.
The Aberdeen girls were honest with themselves at half time and vowed to win the second half. Anderson pulled a goal back but Stonehaven were awarded a penalty soon after. Mowat superbly saved the spot kick diving low to her left, then recovered quickly to also save the follow up shot.
That save acted as a catalyst for Aberdeen with Anderson adding four more goals and superb strikes from Rennie and Leask capping a fantastic comeback.
Thanks to Stonehaven for the match and nice to see some familiar faces lining up for Stonehaven.
