U11`s RAISE £1500 IN 24 HOUR KEEP THE BALL CHALLENGE

U11`s RAISE FUNDS FOR NEW TRAINING KITS AND EQUIPMENT

‘ The U11 team coaches recently challenged both United and Thistle squads to take on a 24hr Keep the ball challenge.  The girls were asked to make sure their ball stayed with them all day and night from the time they got up to the time they went to bed! They were given simple instructions and rules where they could practice skills and play football with the ball but at any other time the ball had to be on them; carried, up a jumper, in a hoody or on their knee.

The girls had great fun doing the challenge and were very creative in the ways they kept the ball with them for 24hrs!  Some of the footballs made it along on a shopping trip, an 8 mile kick about around Loch Muick, a trek around Forvie nature reserve, balanced during breakfast, lunch and supper and even some gymnastics all whilst keeping hold of the ball!

Collectively the girls have raised over £1500 for their team funds which the girls will enjoy using for team building activities as well as receiving well earned new JOMA training kits and other equipment.

Whilst both teams continue to actively source a new match kit sponsor, they have shown fantastic effort in maintaining funds for their squad to benefit from.’
