Premier Young Guns shine for Scotland U17s

Aberdeen premier young guns Lauren Gordon and Shannon McGregor played a major part in a Scotland side that qualified for the elite rounds of the European qualifiers in 2016.

The Scotland side were in Kazakhstan where they played three tough games over 11 days. They drew with Latvia 0-0, they beat Kazakhstan 4-0 McGregor was on the score sheet and was missed when she had to leave the field after picking up an ankle knock. The last game Scotland went down 3-0 to a very organised Austrian side and Gordon picked up a hamstring injury and had to leave the field late in the first half. The young Scots qualified in 2nd place with Austria winning the group.

With the injuries the young Dons missed the Glasgow City game on the Sunday , but McGregor will be back for the Celtic game in 2 weeks time, where as Gordon will be out of action for 6 weeks with a grade 2 hamstring injury.
