EIS Waste Services Ltd have kindly agreed to continue as the main sponsor of our U15 Dons team continuing their support of the team for a 5th year after originally coming onboard when the group were originally U11s.

EIS Waste Services Managing Director Neil Sharp has been a big supporter of local grassroots football, schools and charities for a number of years giving back to the local community as much as he can.

The Sharp family’s involvement in the Waste and Recycling industry dates back to 1974 when Neil Sharp Snr purchased one skip lorry and 5 skips and started the business of Neil Sharp Skip Hire.

The business grew quickly due to its reputation for fast, efficient service and competitive prices and by the mid 80`s the business had expanded to run three landfill sites and a fleet of twelve collection vehicles. In 1988 the business was sold to a Multi-National Waste Contractor who took over the running of the vehicle fleet and the three landfill sites.

In 1989 EIS Waste Services was formed with a focus towards landfill diversion and recycling and has grown steadily over the last twenty six years and now handles in excess of 100,000 tonnes of waste materials per annum.

In 1995 the Gallowhill site was purchased and a planning application was submitted to Aberdeenshire Council to build a Waste Recycling facility. Planning permission was granted and the site opened in 1999. Further planning applications have increased the facility to over fourteen acres meaning the site has grown to become Aberdeen’s largest purpose built Waste Transfer and Recycling facility. With a fleet of over thirty collection vehicles, a container fleet in excess of 4500 units and 105 full-time employees EIS Waste Services Ltd has grown to become Aberdeen`s largest Dry Waste collection and recycling provider.

All General Waste materials collected are delivered to the facility where all waste is processed through two MRF plants with all recyclables being removed via a combination of automated and manual segregation.

Source segregated Dry Mixed Recyclables (DMR) are collected using specialised collection vehicles in accordance with the Zero Waste Scotland Regulations and are delivered to the facility to be processed through a Dry Mixed Recyclables MRF. All segregated paper, cardboard, polythene and rigid plastics are baled through our two baling plants for delivery to various re-processors throughout the UK and beyond.

All other recyclable materials not suitable for baling are bulked up and transported to re-processors for re-manufacture into various products.

Residual wastes which cannot be recycled are processed to produce a Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) and is sent to a local Energy from Waste (EFW) facility to produce electricity.

The continued development of EIS Wastes Recycling and Residual Waste processing methods have resulted in a Landfill Diversion Rate in excess of 95%.

EIS Waste Services successfully manage in excess of 1500 planned waste and recycling collections per day to the industrial, commercial, construction and domestic sectors that range geographically from Fraserburgh to Montrose. These include but are not limited to, businesses in the oil and gas industry, shipping enterprises, engineering, retail, Universities, NHS and Aberdeen City Council.

EIS Waste Services commitment to customer service, quality and health and safety are underlined by their many accreditations which include ISO9001, ISO14001, ISO45001, Safecontractor and Zero Waste Scotland`s “Resource Sector Commitment” they are also members of UROC (the United Resource Operators Consortium) and the Road Haulage Association meaning that they can offer a fully compliant service backed by many years of industry experience that can be tailored to suit any individual waste management requirements.

EIS Waste Services continued investment in the latest equipment and vehicles and their commitment to recycling and landfill diversion will allow EIS Waste to continue to be the leading Waste Management and Recycling Company in the North East of Scotland. This will allow materials to be diverted from landfill and re-used in various construction and landscaping projects further increasing our landfill diversion rates.

All at Aberdeen FC Ladies are delighted EIS Waste Services have continued their support of the club and would like to thank Neil, Julie and the staff at EIS for their support.
